As a blogger, I often have to take my own photos. I'm by no means a professional, but with the right equipment and lots of practice, I've surprised myself with some good photos. I use a Canon EOS 70D with a standard 55mm lens and I also have a 250mm lens. Since I have to take photos of food and drink for blogging, it seemed like a good idea to take the extra images that don't get used and put them up for sale myself. I use Shutterstock.com, which has worked very well for me. There are some other stock image sites out there, but I like that Shutterstock has online tools and video demos to help me take better photos and to let me know what types of photos the website is looking for, and the downloading process is easy. When I started with Shutterstock over a year ago, it took almost a week to find out if my images were accepted. Now it only takes one day.
