Carrie Dow is an award-winning freelance travel journalist and senior writer at Artisan Spirit Magazine whose work has appeared in 5280, Our State, Colorado Parent, AAA Carolinas, and IntervalWorld. She was the Local Editor of DrinkDenver, part of The Drink Nation, from 2012 to 2019 where she sampled Denver’s best happy hours (Not a bad gig, right?). A member of the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA), The International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA) and Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), she is also the founder of What's Pawsitive where she writes about animal welfare organizations around the world.
